2. junior session

Colour Activity

Recommended Group: Prep - Year 2

This is a great 30 minute session that follows an author reading.
The Stroogle is all about colour so what better way to involve the children than to get them to name and colour in the rainbow colours of a pirate Stroogle and add their own flag and hat designs. Cameron stimulates the students thinking by revealing the very first sketches of the Stroogle and explaining how he creates his picture books. Original illustrations are shown to the students.

This session includes a special Pie-Rat action rhyme to get everyone up and moving! The words can be downloaded here so you can continue it with classes after the visit.
